Golub received his PhD from the Department of International History at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). His dissertation examines the War Department and the politics of American grand strategy during World War II. Grant is now the Assistant Professor of American History in the Department of National Security and Strategy at the Army War College. His interests include the history of U.S. foreign policy and grand strategy and how executive branch agencies shape them. Golub is a Marcellus Policy Fellow at the John Quincy Adams Society in Washington, DC, and a project assistant at LSE IDEAS, a university think tank. He holds a BA in History and American Studies from Princeton University and an MSc in the History of International Relations from LSE.
